Took the film camera (Nikon F3 with Ilford HP5) to this weekend’s Cars and Coffee Austin, and to a local place called the Austin Speed Shop. Here are the results:
Shoutout to all the Austin Oppos... see you next month at The Oasis.

I love my F3... it is also the only Giugiaro-designed thing I can afford.

Do you develop the film yourself or send it out? Its getting harder to find good processing places. I went digital years ago, I have a cannon though because I could get an adapter to use my Leica Range Finder Lenses on it.

I agree. In the past, I have sent film out to places like Richard photo lab in California, but more recently, I have developed (no pun intended) a good relationship with a shop here in Austin. With Black and White, I could probably develop it myself, but I still need to take it in to get it scanned.
The thing about film is that it forces me to sit back and think about my shot composition more than with digital. There is more of a chance I miss a shot, but when it works out it feels really good.

What did you use to scan the photos into Jpegs?

The local film developer/camera shop has a dedicated film scanner that produces way better scans than I could at home. It costs a little, but the results are great, and it gives me an excuse to sit around the shop and lust over the expensive medium format cameras I can’t afford

That’s far too fancy for me. I have the 50mm 1.8 ... This particular roll was shot on my trusty 35-105mm
